Encourage parish members to
participate in the parish's Elijah Cup Ministry (participates sign
up to take home for one week a symbolic cup representing the prayer
of Elijah - the pray is made by individuals or families for an
increase to vocations to the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of
Atlanta); |

Encourage parish members to pray
together regularly for vocations to the priesthood, religious life,
and deaconate; |
|
Encourage parish members to be willing
to "gently" approach youth and young adults who have manifest a
disposition and spiritual demeanor about exercising leadership
within the Catholic Church; |
|
To search for opportunities to raise
up in the parish moments to recognize priests, sisters,
brothers, who were raised in or are serving in the parish or
community; |
|
To organize opportunities to
financially support seminarians and/or those preparing for a
religious vocation; |
|
Help organize information sessions,
vocation fairs, tours for young people to seminaries, convents, and
monasteries, ordination ceremonies. Also arrange prayer services and
other vocation pitches periodically in the parish; |
|
Assist the parish pastor to identify,
encourage, and walk-with individuals who give evidence of a possible
vocation; |
|
Attend vocations programs offered by
the Archdiocese for purposes of education and awareness; and |
|
Assist the parish groups that exercise
ministry with our parish youth to have days of reflection on topics
of vocations to priesthood and religious life, especially with Black
priests and religious as speakers. |
