NBCC Media Center (Beta Version) The National Black Catholic Congress

We, The National Black Catholic Congress, comprised of member organizations, represent African American Roman Catholics, working in collaboration with National Roman Catholic organizations. We commit ourselves to establishing an agenda for the evangelization of African Americans; and to improve the spiritual, mental, and physical conditions of African Americans, thereby committing ourselves to the freedom and growth of African Americans as full participants in church and society.

The National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus serves as a fraternity for Black Catholic Clergy and Religious to support the spiritual, theological, educational, and ministerial growth of its members.

The NBCCC is a vehicle to bring the contributions of the Black Community to fruition within the Catholic Church.

One of my favorite Public Radio Stations, based here in Atlanta, GA on the campus of Clark-Atlanta University. The primary radio format is jazz, along with dabs into gospel on Sundays. The website streams their broadcasts. If you like jazz music then you have to listen to WCLK.
SQPN (Star Quest Production Network) is a multimedia organization specializing in the production of audio and video programs faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Its mission is to respond to the Church’s call to use the media for religious information, for evangelization and catechesis and for formation and education.
Vatican Radio is the broadcasting station of the Holy See, legally recognized by the international bodies. It is a means of communication and evangelization created to serve the Pope's ministry. Vatican Radio has a legal status and is located in Vatican City. Its main task is to proclaim the Christian message, freely, faithfully and efficiently, and keep the centre of Catholicism in contact with the rest of the world.
Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty.

Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur across the globe. By combining microfinance with the internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending.

Kiva was born of the following beliefs:

bulletPeople are by nature generous, and will help others if given the opportunity to do so in a transparent, accountable way.

bulletThe poor are highly motivated and can be very successful when given an opportunity.

bulletBy connecting people we can create relationships beyond financial transactions, and build a global community expressing support and encouragement of one another.
This Prayer Gallery contains the works and words of Fr. Jim Hasse S.J., of the Jesuit Community in Cincinnati, OH. The works of Fr. Jim are beautiful paintings of religious moments in the scriptures from an African American perspective.
